4-10 of March at the University of Applied Science of Salzburg (Austria) there was held the training session for the seniour academic administrators. 17 representatives (vice-rectors, deans, vice- deans) of Russian, Mongolian, Kazakhstan universities studied Smart City Technologies at Austrian cities, visited “new Vienna” – Seestadt city campus built on the Smart city principles and the structure of the MS Course in Energy Saving & Urban Construction. Main activities took place at the Campus Kuchl and Campus Urstein where participants of the training session met the rector prof. DR. Gerhard Blechinger, vice-rector Dr. Gunther Grall and administrators of the University of Applied Science of Salzburg, got the necessary information about the university rules and regulations. Dr. Teresa Rieger, head of the International Office, presented the internationalization strategy of the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences. Master Program “Smart Buildings in Smart Cities” with 2 specializations: energy infrastructure, district renovation was presented to the participants. During Salzburg on-site visit of the district renovation project the participants acquainted with the renovation strategy of the old buildings (Smart Buildings in Smart Cities) based on the energy saving (Smart Grids). Sports center Liefering was presented as an example of the using of the smart energy principles. During the visit to the new smart district Limberg the participants had a possibility to investigate the principles of the new smart building. As a final there was a special session on cooperation with the industry presented by the Siemens representative.
