The Project meeting in the frames of the activity 2.1 took place in ATEI, Thessaloniki on March 11-15, 2019. The program included the Coordination meeting, led by the project coordinator Milka Vicheva from TUS in presence of the EU and PC partner representatives. The project management and planning issues were discussed and important decisions were made. In the following days the ATEI colleagues Dr. Tania Kapiki, Dr. Periklis Chatzimissios, Prof. Christos Ilioudis, Prof. Vassilis Kostoglou have presented the Master program “Web Smart Technologies”, their experience in programs development, software and facilities used in teaching process. During the week at ATEI the participants have also visited International Hellenic University (Thermi Campus), where have learned about their programs and curricula. Prof. Christos Tjortjis have presented the Erasmus Mundus Joint master’s degree (EMJMDs) in “Smart Cities and Communities”. Dr. Christos Berberidis have presented the MSc in “Information and Communication Technologies”. The participants have discussed know-how and experience regarding the preparations of the Joint Master’s Degree Programme. Another destination was the Centre for Research and Technology-Hellas (CERTH) and two research institutes: Information Technologies Institute and Hellenic Institute of Transport, where the new projects of smart home, automobiles, and transport management systems were presented. The participants have learned a lot about smart city infrastructures and relative technologies used for this purposes.
March 15, 2018 Professor Svetlana Kalganova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the Yury Gagarin State Technical University met with the rector of the Alexandrian technological university of the city of Thessaloniki (Greece). During the meeting, a bilateral cooperation agreement was signed, prospects for further cooperation in the field of education and joint research were discussed. "Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki (ATEI) is our stable partner, with whom we have successfully completed the joint European project TEMPUS. Today we see very interesting perspective projects of the ATEI in the field of smart city technologies and the digital economy, and we hope that the signed cooperation agreement will be a new step in development of partnerships with this university, - says Svetlana Kalganova.
